"Together for a better internet",

9th-28th February

On Tuesday, 9 February 2021, we will join the celebration of the 18th edition of Safer Internet Day with actions taking place right across the globe. With a theme once again of "Together for a better internet", the day calls upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children and young people.

Our school is organising online webinars for students and parents held by fraud squad at national and/or local level to disseminate the principles of a positive use of network and technological tools.

the students will be also involved in other activities such as posters, preparation of reports, handbooks, drawings, games, songs, quiz, memory games, to get to know the rules to surf internet safely

On Tuesday, 9th February 2021, the students of the third classes middle school took part in the the celebration of the 18th edition of Safer Internet Day assisting to the conference held by the national fraud squad and Mr Franco Gabrielli who was named chief of the State Police in 2016. the first and the second classes middle school where involved, instead, in the vision of films on cyberbullying. In the next days, the students of all the segments of our school will be also involved in other activities such as , preparation of reports,posters, handbooks, drawings, games, songs, quiz, memory games, to get to know the rules to surf internet safely.

During the time of distance learning middle school students from 3A, 3B, 3C classes have used digital resources, that helped them growing their digital competences. One of these is “Learning apps”, a safe, funny, easy, and free application that makes possible to create sharable activities such as: quizzes, crosswords, memory cards and much more, always inside the virtual classroom created and run by our ITC Teacher, Mrs Patrizia Prisco.

Students from middle school 1st classes have prepared presentations on our wonderful town, Catania, using different digital apps such us Animoto, Sway and Canva. These activities have been run by our English Teacher, Mrs Angela Renzi to let our digi-partners know well the place where we live!
