EraseLab
Privacy Policy — EraseLab
Effective Date: September 16, 2026
Last Updated: October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Esoftbay (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information in connection with the EraseLab mobile application (the “App”).
EraseLab is a photo editing application that helps users remove objects, erase unwanted areas, and remove backgrounds from images using on-device tools and cloud-based artificial intelligence (AI) processing.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
Controller / Operator: Esoftbay
App Name: EraseLab
Contact Email: office@esoftbay.com
For privacy-related questions, requests, or complaints, contact us at the email above.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to:
The EraseLab iOS and Android mobile applications;
Related backend services we operate to process edit requests, including our API / edge functions; and
Communications you send to us, for example, support emails.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, stores (Apple App Store / Google Play), or services that we do not control, even if they are linked from the App.
3. Information We Collect
We design EraseLab to minimize personal data collection. We do not require you to create an account with your name, email address, or password to use core editing features.
3.1 Information You Provide
Photos and images. When you import a photo from your device library or camera roll, that image is used for editing. If you use AI removal features, the image and, where applicable, a mask are transmitted securely to our processing servers for the purpose of generating an edited result.
Support communications. If you contact us, for example at office@esoftbay.com, we receive the content of your message and any contact details you include, such as your email address.
3.2 Information Stored on Your Device
The App may store the following locally on your device:
Imported and edited project images for recent edits / My Projects;
App preferences such as language and theme;
Onboarding / first-launch status; and
Anonymous session tokens needed to authenticate API requests.
Local data remains on your device unless you choose to upload an image for AI processing, save a result to your photo library, or delete the App, which typically removes App sandbox data.
3.3 Automatically Generated Technical Data
When you use AI processing features, our servers may process limited technical information such as:
Anonymous authentication identifiers, such as anonymous session / user ID;
Request metadata, for example timestamps, processing mode, and payload size indicators;
Basic operational logs needed for security, rate limiting, debugging, and service reliability; and
Standard network information inherent to making an internet request, for example IP address as received by our hosting provider.
We do not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, SMS, call logs, payment card numbers, government IDs, or biometric identifiers for identification.
3.4 Permissions
Depending on your device and platform, the App may request:
Photo Library access — to import images for editing;
Photo Library add / save access — to save edited images to your gallery.
You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without the required permission.
4. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
Provide the App’s features — import, crop, brush/lasso selection, object removal, text/object erase, and background removal;
Process AI edit requests — transmit your image and mask, if needed, to our backend and AI processing providers to return an edited image;
Authenticate requests — maintain an anonymous session so our API can authorize processing;
Protect the service — apply rate limits, prevent abuse, detect errors, and maintain security;
Improve reliability — diagnose failures and improve performance of processing pipelines;
Respond to you — handle support requests and policy inquiries; and
Comply with law — meet legal, regulatory, or enforcement obligations when required.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your photos for advertising profiles.
We do not train marketing models on your personal photos for third-party ad targeting.
5. AI Processing and Image Handling
Certain features, including object/text removal and background removal, require cloud processing. When you start an AI edit:
Your image and a selection mask, when required, are sent to our backend services;
Our backend forwards the content to AI processing providers to generate the edited output; and
The resulting image is returned to the App on your device.
Intended retention for processing: Images submitted for AI processing are handled for the purpose of completing your request. We do not operate a user photo gallery in the cloud, and we do not intentionally keep your edited photos as a long-term online library associated with your identity.
Operational logs and temporary processing artifacts may exist for a limited time for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service reliability. Third-party AI providers may process submitted content under their own terms and privacy practices while fulfilling the request.
Important: Do not upload images that you are not authorized to use, or images containing highly sensitive personal data that you do not want transmitted for processing.
6. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
Contract / service delivery — to provide the editing and AI processing features you request;
Legitimate interests — to secure the App, prevent abuse, debug errors, and improve reliability, balanced against your rights;
Consent — where required for certain device permissions or optional communications; and
Legal obligation — when we must process or retain information to comply with law.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information only as described below:
Service providers / processors. We use infrastructure and processing providers to host APIs, authenticate anonymous sessions, and run AI image-processing pipelines, for example cloud hosting and AI inference providers. These providers process data on our behalf or as needed to deliver the requested feature.
Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or integrity.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and this Policy’s principles.
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. International Data Transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we take appropriate measures to protect personal data transferred internationally, which may include contractual safeguards and provider security controls.
9. Data Retention
On-device data — projects, preferences, and local images remain until you delete them in the App, clear App data, or uninstall the App.
AI processing content — is retained only as needed to complete the request and operate/secure the service, then discarded according to our operational practices and provider configurations.
Support emails — may be retained as long as needed to respond and keep appropriate business records.
Security / rate-limit logs — may be retained for a limited period to prevent abuse and investigate incidents.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) for network requests and access controls on our backend services.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining physical control of your device and for deciding which images you process with the App.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
Access the personal information we hold about you;
Request correction of inaccurate information;
Request deletion of personal information;
Object to or restrict certain processing;
Request data portability; and/or
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, email office@esoftbay.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
Because EraseLab primarily uses anonymous sessions and on-device storage, some rights may be limited by what identifiers or data we can reasonably associate with you.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly defined for advertising. You may request know/access/delete rights as described above.
EEA/UK residents: You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.
12. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact office@esoftbay.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Third-Party Services and Store Platforms
Purchases, downloads, and reviews are handled by Apple and/or Google under their own privacy policies. AI and infrastructure providers process content only as needed to deliver features you request. We encourage you to review those providers’ policies where applicable.
14. Do Not Track
The App does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because it is a native mobile application and does not use traditional web tracking cookies for advertising.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the App or by other reasonable means.
16. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact:
Esoftbay — EraseLab Privacy
Email: office@esoftbay.com
17. Advertising (Google AdMob) — Additional Disclosure
EraseLab displays advertisements using Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads). In connection with ads, the App and/or Google may process information such as:
Advertising identifiers, for example Google Advertising ID on Android, or IDFA on iOS where available and permitted;
Device and technical data, including device model, operating system version, app version, language, and IP address;
Ad interaction data, including impressions, clicks, and related performance signals; and
Consent / preference signals from the in-app consent form where shown.
This information is used to show ads, measure campaign performance, limit repetitive ads, detect invalid traffic, and help prevent advertising fraud and abuse.
We do not use your imported or edited photos to build advertising profiles or to target ads based on the content of your images.
Google’s use of information is also governed by:
18. Advertising Consent (UMP / GDPR) — Additional Disclosure
In the EEA, UK, and other regions where Google requires it, EraseLab uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent before personalized ads are served.
If you consent to personalized ads, AdMob may use advertising identifiers and related signals to show more relevant ads.
If you do not consent or choose non-personalized ads, we may still show less personalized ads where permitted, and we instruct Google Mobile Ads accordingly.
You can change advertising preferences through the consent experience when offered, and/or in your device advertising / privacy settings, including resetting or opting out of ad personalization.
We gather consent before initializing / requesting ads, and we only request ads when the platform indicates ads may be requested.
19. Additional Permissions Related to Ads and Network
In addition to the photo library permissions described in Section 3.4, which are used in the App to import and save photos, the App may also rely on:
Internet (INTERNET) — required for AI cloud processing, ads, analytics, and remote configuration;
Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — to detect connectivity so requests and ad loads behave more reliably; and
Advertising ID (AD_ID) — allows the App and advertising partners, including Google AdMob, to deliver personalized ads where permitted, measure performance, prevent fraud, and reduce repetitive ads. Users can reset or disable this identifier in device settings.
20. Advertising Fraud Prevention — Additional Disclosure
Advertising systems, including Google AdMob, may process limited technical and interaction signals to help detect and prevent click fraud, fake impressions, and other invalid traffic, and to protect users, publishers, and advertisers from abuse. This processing is for service integrity and fraud prevention, not for profiling the content of your photos.
