I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the SIMIS - Shanghai Institute of Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences. Previously, I was a PhD student at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Tali Pinsky. Before that I completed my MSc in the Hebrew University, under the supervision of Prof. Genadi Levin.
I am mostly interested (and fascinated) by the complexity of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems, in both continuous and discrete times. I am particularly interested in Forcing Theory (the dynamical one) and in how one can use Topological Invariants to describe the interplay between Topology, the onset of complex behavior, and Bifurcation Theory. For more details on my research philosophy (as well as my research statement), see the "Research" page above.Â
If you are interested to contact me, please, do not hesitate to send an email to the following address: eranigra@simis.cn
In addition to the above, I also write a mathematical Blog whose stated goal is to introduce undergraduate students in STEM to Chaos Theory. Oh, and I also (co)organize the SIMIS Dynamical Systems seminar - if you are interested to give a talk, please, do not hesitate to contact me.
