Yael Enav, Ph.D
Principal Investigator

Yael received her B.A. in Behavioral Sciences and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ben-Gurion University and her M.A. in Child Clinical Psychology from Tel Aviv University in Israel. Yael completed postdoctoral training in the affective neuroscience program at Stanford University. She also engaged in clinical training at Stanford University, working with children and adults with various emotional challenges. In her studies, she integrates basic and applied science in order to study the underlying mechanisms of emotion regulation and mentalization among healthy and clinical populations. Yael also studies the influences of emotion regulation interventions on different populations.

Lee Barel Refaeli

Research interests: The role of Reflective Function in the transition to motherhood, and the way different personality variables influence this transition.

Natalia Kirsman

Education:  B.A. and M.A. degrees in Psychology, Maimonides University.

Research interests: The influences of parental emotion regulation and active listening interventions towards a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Ifah Levinger

Education: B.A. in Psychology, the Open University of israel.

Research interests: Parenting reflectivity towards children with ASD and typical children, emotion regulation.


Zohar Blumental

Education: B.A. in Psychology, Ruppin Academic Center.

Research interests: The effect of reflective functioning and emotion regulation interventions on parental self-efficacy among parents of children with autism.

Munai Awawdi Hakroosh 

Education: B.A. degree in Social Work, Master's candidate of Counseling and Human Development. 

Research interests: Emotion regulation flexibility in the selection stage among parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

Einat Erel Shapira 

Education: BA in Speech Pathology, Haifa University.

Current M.A. student in Parental Counseling and guidance, Faculty of Education, Haifa University

Research interests: The connection between parental reflective functioning, psychological control and well-being among adolescents.

Eden Arzouan

Works as the director of the Emotion Regulation and Mentalization Laboratory.

Shaked Simhon

Education: A human services and sociology student at the University of haifa.

Works as a research assistant and transcriber for the research of  parents of children on the autistic spectrum.

Adi Laufer

A final year bibliotherapy emotional therapy student.

Work in the nursery of the Elwyn association as an emotional therapist with autistic toddlers and their parents,  and as a coder in the mentalization project.
