MENTOR/INDUCTION PROGRAM PLAN
The Era P-TECH program has implemented the following mentor/induction plan to provide support to our new and returning faculty throughout the school year.
STUDENTS
Acceptance Letters & New Student Orientation
Students receive an acceptance letter and information about new student orientation. The purpose of orientation is to celebrate each student's acceptance into the program and to provide the student and their parents with information about summer bridge, TSI, and the goals of the program.
Summer Bridge Program
Students attend a two week summer bridge program where they tour the facilities, meet the P-TECH staff, and receive targeted TSI instruction. The bridge program serves to help students transition from middle school to high school, as well as provide them with specific information about P-TECH and future career opportunities related to Welding.
1on1 Advising
Students meet with their counselor to talk about their future college and career goals. During this meeting students decide on their four year graduation plan and their college crosswalk. Students will continue to have 1-on-1 meetings with their counselor at the beginning of each semester to ensure they are on track to achieve their college and career goals.
