Haritha is a current senior at Farmington High School. She is very involved in her high school music programs as a member of the Chamber Singers and Symphony Strings and a vocalist in the evening ensemble Madrigal Singers. Outside of school, she has been studying Carnatic Violin and Carnatic Vocal for about a decade and has performed publicly numerous times. She is also incredibly passionate about Social Justice, and is currently Co-President of the Asian American Student Union (AASU) and a representative on the Social Justice Council. In these communities, she has worked to increase dialogue and awareness around issues that affect Asian-Americans, brought in expert speakers, and prepared her own research. She looks forward to this Capstone in being a true connection among Social Justice and music and working to make education more equitable for everyone!
