Victoria Abou-Khalil

Victoria is a scientist at EPFL and the executive director of the EPFL – ETH Zurich Doctoral Program in the Learning Sciences. She also coordinates the DEEP consortium on Digital Education for Equity in Primary Schools. Her research focuses on the design and evaluation of digital education and technologies that support diverse learners.
Lena Hollenstein
St. Gallen University of Teacher Education
Lena is a senior researcher at St.Gallen University of Teacher Education and Co-Head of Studies Master Early Childhood Studies. Her research focus is on research in early childhood education and teacher education in digital education, teacher expectations and teacher’s professional competence. Her current project focuses on teachers' continuous professional development on AI and equitable digital education for children in primary school. She has worked on gender-sensitive pretend play ideas for digital transformation in kindergartens.
Valentina Ferraioli

Valentina is a PhD candidate in the EPFL – ETH Zurich Doctoral Program in the Learning Sciences. Her research centers on supporting primary school teachers in understanding and teaching core AI concepts within digital education. She explores the connections between AI and computational thinking to extend existing curricula with AI-related topics.
Francesco Mondada
EPFL
Francesco is Professor of Robotics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and academic director of the LEARN center. Francesco Mondada is responsible for the design of numerous mobile robots for education, marketed and used in thousands of schools and universities. He has received several awards, including the EPFL Best Teacher Award, and the Polytechnik-Preis for the Thymio robot, recognized as the best educational project in Europe in the field of digital tools.
Brendan Flanagan
Kyoto University
Brendan is an Associate Professor at the Center for Innovative Research and Education in Data Science in the Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences, and also holds appointments at both the Data Science Course and Social Informatics Course within the Graduate School of Informatics at Kyoto University. His research is in Learning Analytics and AI in education in both K-12 and Higher Education, with a particular focus on AI/machine learning and statistical models of reading behavior. Other areas of interest include NLP/Text Mining, Computer Assisted Language Learning, CSCL and the Application of Blockchain in Education.

Marius Vogt

Marius is a doctoral researcher at St. Gallen University of Teacher Education. He works in a project on teachers' continuous professional development on AI and equitable digital education for children in primary school. His current focus lies in developing playful approaches to foster AI literacy among children.
