Bundle Creation Process Adorama

Step 1

From the main IBMi menu, please select the following prompts: 4-1 - Item Main Maintenance Program (SCUBA)

From the main IBMi menu, please select the following prompts: 1 - Item Main Maintenance Program (Adorma )

Step 2

Select the SKU being copied and enter in the top row as the following:

Once we’re ready to copy the SKU, we add the number 3 in the options column and hit enter (or Ctrl)

We need to make sure to update the following attributes:

1) Item Number

2) Item Short Description

3) Item Title (optional)

4) Seq#

5) Mfg Item#

6) Mfg Barcode

7) Parent, Child or Standalone

8) Is Kit

9) Don’t post to web

Item number = SKU name, this will be provided to you most of the time. Generally, this would be an added letter or number. These must be added to the original item number with no spaces. Please make sure that any additional new kit SKU’s for the same product follow in a similar pattern, so it can easily be found during SKU search.

Item Short Description – We need to add the type of kit. A simple example would be, w/ACC KIT. There may be a need to condense this title on some cases. When create a kit we usually have a planned kit style. The kit style should be the preferred wording added in this line. This can also be used in the “Item title”, which is optional.

Seq#-It is important to make sure that the sequence numbers are added correctly. When we create a new bundle SKU, the system will automatically generate a Seq# with 4 numbers apart. For example: NKZ9 has a Seq# number of 644663210, when you copy the SKU, it’ll go to 644663214 automatically. Please make sure that every new Kit SKU should be at least 10 from the previous Seq#. In this case that would be 644663220. Also, every subsequent kit of this item should follow a similar pattern for Seq#.

Mfg# - Should have the same letter or number added as the item number with a space. For example: Item Number is NKZ9A, the Mfg# would be 1669 A. Please bear in mind that the item number and Mfg# are usually not the same.

Mfg barcode – When we create new bundle SKU’s we have to remove the existing barcode of the item and replace it with an Adorama barcode. The barcodes are vital, as bundle SKU’s can’t post to marketplace without them. These barcodes will be provided to you to be used on new bundle SKU’s. Please make sure to keep track of barcodes used, so we don’t duplicate 2 SKU’s with the same barcode.

Parent, Child or Standalone – All bundles have to be marked as “S” = standalone in the IBMi, to be set up correctly.

Is Kit – All bundles created need to be marked in this field as “Y” in order to be set up correctly.

Don’t post to web – All bundle created should be marked in this field as “Y”. These will be removed once the Kit SKU is fully created with content and price, to post to web. To page down, press CTRL. There are 3 pages in this initial setup window. Page down and press CTRL to save.

Step 5

Once we filled out all the correct attributes, press Ctrl (or Enter) to save the new SKU. Please copy the new SKU created to continue to next step.

Step 6

Copy the new kit SKU in the item maintenance window and use the following prompts: 2-15. Add all items (SKU’s) that will be included in the bundle, including the main item (which typically would be the SKU originally copied).

Step 7

Set the proper attributes for the bundle SKU’s. Most bundles will need the following attributes checked as the following:

Show Subitems on Web “Y”

Share Profit “Y”

Print Dtl Prc on Inv. “N”

At times, there will be requests to NOT show subitems. In that case you’ll need to add a “N”

Generally, the Qty will be 1 unless otherwise noted. If the Qty is more than 1, please add correct qty. The qty of the item will be in the JIRA or spreadsheet provided. If no qty provided, please assume as qty 1. All main items of a kit are always “LVL” “2” – Meaning the kit will not ship if this item is out of stock. Camera and lenses are always a “LVL” “2”. In camera and lens kits we can place a “LVL” “8” on all additional items besides the camera and lens. LVL “8” – Item will be backordered if out of stock and the rest of the bundle will be shipped. If not sure what “LVL” item needs to be, then add LVL “2” to item. The last column “FRS” should always be checked “N”.

Please make sure to press “F10” to save changes.

Step 8

There are 2 types of pricing concepts. One is a fixed price for all items in the bundle. The second one is an itemized pricing structure.

You can get to pricing options by pressing “F8” or from item maintenance menu, using the following prompts: 2-3, add a “2” by sell price.

In a fixed pricing request, you’ll add an “F” in the item type and add the fixed price in dollars and cents with no decimals. For example, if the kit price request is a fixed price of 499.99. the price needs to be added as the following 49999.

To save the pricing added, press F10.

In fixed pricing, the items below do not have to be marked by the free column.

In itemized pricing, all SKU’s have to be marked in the free column with a “Y” or “N”. When selecting the itemized price type, all SKU’s are automatically marked as “N” in the free column. All cameras and lens kits, have to use the itemized type pricing. There will be other itemized pricing request on a regular basis. Whenever the pricing type in the kit is not specified, select itemized type pricing and all items marked as “N’ in the free column.

The main item (or items, usually the first line item and/or second line item) are never marked as free. If the items in the bundle are to be given for free, all the additional items should be marked “Y” in the free column.

In most cases you’ll be asked to add pricing to the sell price and Internet 1 Price. Pricing needs to be added to both pricing windows to allow for additional promotional pricing. To find Internet 1 Pricing, just press F8 from the Sell price window. Please make sure that you press F10 to save the changes before navigating to a different window. The Internet 1 Pricing can also be accessed from the item maintenance menu, using the following prompts: 2-3, add a “2” by Internet 1 Price.

If itemized pricing is requested, please make sure to follow the correct amounts on the proper fields. The first column after the free column is Set Fixed $, which allows you to set the individual price of the item in the kit. The second column is Set Disc. $, which is a fixed discount amount on an individual product in the kit. On the top left corner, you’ll see the kit total price as well the percentage discounted. To see the price changes before saving price to system, press CTRL. You may have to move curser up or down to see changes.

In the absence of pricing type request on a JIRA, please mark all items as itemized and free column as “N”.
