Companhia das Lezíria

Conference Location

"The Companhia das Lezírias (Lezírias Company) or CL for short (the only two letters in the company logotype), is a state-run agriculture and forestry company located in the Lezíria do Tejo subregion. The company produces rice, wine, cork, and livestock, as well as being a reputed horse breeder. In addition to its farming, forestry, and animal production activities, the Companhia das Lezírias has organised top equestrian events."

Wine Tasting

Companhia das Lezírias currently has about 130 ha of vineyards, of which 65% of the area is composed of red varieties and the remaining 35% of white varieties. Among the red varieties, the Alicante-Bouschet variety is the majority, followed by the castes Castelão, Trincadeira, Aragonez, Touriga-Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Touriga-Franca, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão.
