Why?
- The local Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles is an integral part of the Downtown community. We want to help support the members of our community who are struggling through life-changing experiences.
- According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, out of the 108, 860 active physicians in California, only 38,140 of them are female. By creating a space for young women to explore what it’s like to be active in a hospital, we can encourage and open a path towards working in medicine and other STEM fields.
