Summer is ending soon and the Fall fun will be here before we know it. There is a lot happening in our part of LBC. We will have our Annual or General meeting Sept. 16, 2026 at 6:30PM at the Senior Center located at 2800 N. Studebaker Rd. Guest speakers will include a representative from the Long Beach police dep., 4th district rep. Daryl Supernaw, Paul Monge from the Mayor’s office & our neighborhood, as well as the City Liaison for the 2028 Olympics- Sean Devereaux. There will be much discussed so we hope you can make it. Sept. 19th is the Chili Cook-Off, and Oct. 24 is the Pattiz Halloween block party & the 2nd Happiest Place On Earth daycare's pumpkin decorating contest, which both are open to the neighborhood. In Dec. there will be the holiday toy drive with Santa, annual lighting contest, & caroling. As many already know we have a pretty close knit neighborhood and many neighbors get together socially through various communications, such as the "mom txt thread", the "dad's or dudes txt thread", the newly added "gaybour txt thread"- (contact 562 257 8587 to be added to the LGBTIQQ thread), WhatsApp for neighborhood emergencies and the ever so popular WhatsApp EPS stuff- where goods are offered up and another man's treasure is often scored. A big thank you to the neighbors that started them! We have so much talent in our neighborhood. How can you get involved? We need future board/ committee members, neighborhood ideas, financial funds and VoLuNteeRs. As I mentioned before I will be stepping to the side soon as President and the board will be holding elections for various positions. If you are interested in keeping these events or creating new, we need YOU!
