“Pride in the Park” Brings Neighbors Together

On Saturday, May 30th, around 20 neighbors gathered at El Dorado Park for the first annual “Pride in the Park” picnic bringing together LGBTQ neighbors and families of East Long Beach to celebrate community, inclusion, and neighborhood connections. Families, children, and even a few four-legged friends enjoyed a sunny afternoon of conversation, sharing delicious homemade foods pot-luck style, and getting to know one another.
The gathering brought together a welcoming and diverse mix of residents, from longtime El Dorado Park South neighbors who have called the area home for many years, to newcomers who have made the neighborhood their home in recent years. The event provided an opportunity to build new friendships, share stories, and strengthen the sense of community that makes our neighborhood special.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this inaugural event a success! We look forward to continuing this tradition and creating more opportunities for neighbors to connect, celebrate, and support one another.
