The EPOS PC 7 stands as my top choice for an epos electronics wireless outlet because it offers unmatched clarity for calls without the bulk of traditional gear. If you need a headset that prioritizes comfort during long shifts over pure gaming immersion, the EPOS C1 is the runner-up I would suggest instead.
It might sound odd to discuss a wired office headset when searching for something "wireless" and "for swimming," but let's be honest about what shoppers are actually looking for. When people type in queries like "best ear clip headphones for swimming" or "wireless headset for swimming," they are often confused by the sheer variety of audio gear on the market. They want reliability, durability, and clear audio, yet many products labeled for aquatic use are fragile gimmicks that fail under pressure. The reality is that true waterproofing is rare in high-fidelity audio, and most "swimming" headsets sacrifice sound quality for water resistance.
I have selected four distinct models from the EPOS lineup that represent different approaches to audio delivery. While none of these are designed specifically for submersion in a pool—which would require a specialized IPX8 rating not present in these office or gaming specs—they all excel in environments where durability, connection stability, and audio fidelity matter most. Whether you are working from a home office, trying to focus in a noisy gym, or simply need a robust pair of headphones that won't fall apart, understanding the specific strengths of each model is crucial.
• EPOS PC 7 — best for crystal-clear voice communication; pick this if you need a lightweight, single-sided design that keeps one ear free for ambient awareness.
• EPOS C1 — best for extended workplace comfort; pick this if you prioritize active noise cancellation and a modern USB-C connection for your daily video calls.
• EPOS Sennheiser PC 8 — best for balanced stereo audio; pick this if you need dual on-ear speakers that deliver immersive sound for meetings and webinars without breaking the bank.
• EPOS H3 — best for multi-stream gaming; pick this if you want to listen to game audio and chat simultaneously via Bluetooth while enjoying a long battery life.
The EPOS PC 7 is a mono headset designed with a singular purpose: to make your voice heard clearly while keeping you connected to the room around you. Its defining feature is the single earpiece design, which leaves your other ear completely open. This is not just a stylistic choice; it is a functional necessity for professionals who answer phones, participate in conference calls, or work in open offices where hearing a colleague approach is vital.

Who is this for? It is ideal for customer service agents, remote workers, and anyone who spends hours on the phone. The "Keep one ear free" capability means you aren't isolated from your environment. You can take a call, hear a doorbell, or notice a fire alarm without lifting a finger to adjust your gear. The inclusion of a USB sound card ensures plug-and-play simplicity, removing the need for complex drivers or software configurations. It is a tool built for efficiency and endurance.
However, there is a trade-off you must accept with this design. Because it is a mono unit, it does not offer the immersive stereo experience that music lovers or gamers might crave. The audio is strictly focused on communication. Additionally, being a wired USB device, it ties you to your computer or laptop. While this eliminates battery anxiety, it restricts your movement across the room. If you need total freedom of movement or high-fidelity music playback, this isn't the right tool. But for the specific task of reliable, hands-free communication, its lightweight build and passive noise cancellation make it a powerhouse.
Moving to the EPOS C1, we see a shift toward a more premium, full-featured office experience. This headset is built for the modern workspace, featuring a sleek design with metal and plastic construction that suggests durability and professional aesthetics. Unlike the PC 7, the C1 wraps around both ears, providing a sealed environment that aids in isolation. The standout feature here is the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). In a world of constant digital distractions, the ability to actively dampen background hums—like HVAC systems or chatter—is a significant upgrade over passive blocking.
This model is perfect for the hybrid worker who needs to toggle between deep focus and collaboration. The USB-C connectivity is a forward-thinking choice, aligning with the latest laptops and tablets. The ergonomic design is highlighted as being suitable for extended wear, which is critical when you are sitting through back-to-back Zoom or Teams meetings. The included volume controls allow you to manage the mix without reaching for your keyboard.
The compromise with the C1 is its reliance on a wired connection via USB-C, which, while versatile, still limits portability compared to a fully wireless setup. Furthermore, the active noise cancellation requires power, meaning you will eventually need to charge the internal battery or ensure the cable provides sufficient power. For those who prioritize silence and high-fidelity voice quality above all else, the C1 is a strong contender, but it lacks the "open" feel of the PC 7. It demands a bit more maintenance in terms of charging and care, but the payoff is a superior listening environment for critical tasks.
The EPOS Sennheiser PC 8 occupies a middle ground between the mono utility of the PC 7 and the heavy-duty features of the C1. It is a stereo headset, meaning it delivers sound to both ears, creating a more natural and immersive soundscape. This is particularly useful for virtual learning, webinars, or any scenario where hearing nuances in the speaker's tone or background music is important. The aluminum enclosure gives it a sturdy feel, suggesting it can withstand the rigors of daily commuting or frequent use in a shared workspace.
In daily use, the inline volume and mute controls are a practical addition that puts you in immediate command of your audio. You don't have to fumble with software settings or keyboard shortcuts to silence the mic or lower the volume during a live presentation. The passive noise cancellation works well to block out general office noise, though it doesn't match the active filtering of the C1. The weight is slightly higher than the PC 7 due to the dual-driver setup, but the soft earpads are designed to distribute that weight comfortably over long periods.
If you are looking for a balance between cost and performance, the PC 8 is a compelling option. It offers stereo sound without the complexity of wireless pairing or the higher price point of some gaming peripherals. However, the lack of active noise cancellation is a noticeable gap if you work in a very loud environment. It also relies on a wired USB connection, so like the others, it is tethered to your host device. For students or professionals who need clear stereo audio for educational content but don't need the advanced ANC of the C1, this model hits the sweet spot.
The EPOS H3 Hybrid breaks the mold of this collection by introducing true wireless capabilities alongside wired options. This is a gaming-focused headset, but its hybrid nature makes it versatile for media consumption and casual work. The headline feature is the ability to handle two simultaneous audio streams. You can play a game on your PC via the USB-A cable while simultaneously chatting with a friend over Bluetooth. This dual-stream capability is rare in headsets at this level and opens up a new way of interacting with digital content.
For the user, this means seamless multitasking. You can join a Discord call on your phone while playing a multiplayer game on your console or PC. The detachable boom arm adds flexibility; you can remove it for a cleaner look when just listening to music or podcasts, and reattach it when you need to speak into a microphone. The integrated infinity volume wheel on the ear cup allows for quick adjustments, and the mute-on-command feature—raising the boom to mute—is intuitive and fast. With a battery life averaging 37 hours, you can go days without plugging it in, a massive advantage over wired-only models.
The trade-offs here are primarily physical. This extra weight comes from the larger batteries, additional drivers, and the robust build required for gaming. It is less suitable for all-day wear if you are sensitive to weight, though the foam and leatherette padding helps mitigate fatigue. It is also not designed for swimming or wet environments; the electronics are exposed to air and moisture risks that a waterproof swimmer's headset would need to avoid. However, for someone who wants a single device that handles gaming, streaming, and communication with high battery endurance, the H3 Hybrid is the most powerful tool in this list.

No, none of the EPOS models listed here are rated for submersion or swimming. They lack the necessary IPX8 waterproof ratings and are designed for dry indoor environments like offices or homes.
The EPOS H3 Hybrid leads with an average battery life of 37 hours, making it the only model capable of lasting multiple days on a single charge without needing to be plugged in.
Yes, the EPOS H3 Hybrid is explicitly designed for this dual use with its gaming focus and Bluetooth support. The PC 8 and C1 are excellent for work but lack the wireless versatility for modern gaming setups.
Most of these models, including the PC 7 and PC 8, feature plug-and-play USB connectivity that works immediately with Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS without requiring additional driver installation.
