My first performance for Dr. Overman's studio vocal rep class. Performed 9-30-24, I sang "I Don't Know How to Love Him" from Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
This is actually a video from winter break back home in Illinois. My lovely mother signed me up without telling me for a "Winter Cabaret" that my sister's theatre group BAM theatres put on. Here I am singing "Send In The Clowns" from A Little Night Music, by Stephen Sondheim, performed 12-20-24. I definitely felt a little rusty not having practiced fresh into break. This was my sign to never let my voice get cold.
This is my second performance of this piece. I won't publish the first, being that there are people I don't know clearly visible in the video and I don't wish to post without their consent. Performed on 4-7-25, I sang "On My Own" from Les Miserables composed by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil for a vocal divisional rep class in the Hayworth Chapel.
Although I didn't get to work too much with Dr. Overman on this piece, I really feel strongly about posting this performance. Although I can pick out areas for improvement, I've never felt so happy performing in my life. If I didn't show this off, I'd be doing myself a dishonor. Here is my rendition of "Summertime" which I originally adapted from Ella Fitzgerald's rendition in c minor.
