• Completed mandatory courses, and enrolled in accelerated literature and social studies courses, while maintaining a 3.3 GPA.

Piedmont College (Athens Campus) August 2012 - May 2014

• I completed many of my core classes at Piedmont College, while also registering for an abundance of literature and political science courses. During my duration at Piedmont College, I maintained a 3.9 GPA, was named a Dean Scholar many times, and was invited to be a member of both the Alpha Lambda Delta and Sigma Alpha Pi honor societies.

The University of Georgia June 2014 - May 2017

• At the University of Georgia, I finished the remaining core classes for my program admittance, including several advanced history courses. At present, I am pending graduation for a BS. Ed. in social studies education, with an emphasis for teaching history. While at the University of Georgia, I maintained a 3.9 GPA, was named a Dean Scholar, and was accepted as a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and the Delta Epsilon Iota and Pi Lambda Theta honor fraternities.

Employment History

Piedmont College (I.T. Department) August 2012 - December 2012

• As a student worker at Piedmont College, I was mandated to do various technical tasks on the computer. During my employment, I had to reformat computers, install drivers, install and update various applications, and pull internet and telephone wire to destinations. Additionally, I gained experience in customer service by offering technical troubleshooting solutions to students of the college.

Piedmont College (Learning Center) January 2013 - May 2014

• As a tutor at Piedmont College, I attained extensive knowledge of customer service and gained pedagogical experience, as I assisted students who struggled in English and writing. Frequently, I would render advice and suggestions to students, who were writing reviews, responses, summaries, term papers, and even graduate-level papers. In addition to these recommendations, once a year, I held a seminar over writing to a group of students.

OfficeMax (Athens, GA) July 2015 - January 2017

• As a sales associate at OfficeMax, I gained further expertise in customer service and societal skills. I was flexible in my position and acted as a sales representative in many departments, including furniture, technology, and supplies. I also acted as a cashier several times and handled logistical tasks extensively.

Areas of commitment and pedagogical experience

• I was avidly involved in North Oconee’s FFA chapter (2012), as I participated in a road side cleanup for my community, and contributed in a breakfast honoring the North Oconee faculty and staff during national FFA week (February 18-25 2012). Furthermore, I also formed and coordinated the Guitar Club at North Oconee (Fall 2011-Spring 2012). In the club, which provided an outlet for aspiring guitarists, I would often teach and direct club meetings.
• During my enrollment at Piedmont College, I was heavily involved in activities relating to my elementary Biology class. In the spring of 2014, I volunteered to be a judge at the Alps Road Elementary School’s annual Young Scientists Fair. Additionally, I provided information regarding the Future Health Professionals Club (FHPC) at a booth at Piedmont College’s Spring Fling. Moreover, I assisted at assembling the FHPC’s Health Fair.
• During my duration at the University of Georgia, I was involved in many pedagogical undertakings, as mandated by my program. During the fall semester of 2014, I volunteered twice a week at Oasis Católico Santa Rafaela, an after-school tutoring program for Latino students in the Pinewood community. As a tutor, I assisted four students with academic work, while also making important personal connections with the students. Once I was accepted into the College of Education at the University of Georgia, I served with two other teacher candidates at Clarke Middle School, Cedar Shoals High School, and Clarke Central High School and taught basic social studies, civics, and world history, respectively. During this semester, I also had the privilege of speaking at a Professional Development School District conference on October 25, 2016, to a group of 35 collegiate faculty from many universities, including an institution in Edinburgh, Scotland. In my final semester, I served as a primary instructor at Apalachee High School, where I taught economics to 20 seniors. As a student teacher, I was responsible for instruction, planning, assessment creation, and classroom management.
