Summary: Ernesto is currently an independent consultant in Data Science, and a full professor in the areas of mathematical analysis, linear algebra, and statistics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, Sede Ibarra. He has a Ph.D. in Statistics, an MSc in Applied Statistics, and a BS in Systems Engineering, with a major in Operations Research. As a manager, he was Director of Administrative Information Services, and Organization & Systems of the University of Los Andes (Mérida, Venezuela). He was also Superintendent of Tax Administration (ad honorem) and General Manager (also ad honorem) of the Mayor’s Office of the Libertador Municipality of the State of Mérida, Venezuela. He has published more than 30 books and papers in the areas of statistics, information systems, and organizations, published in international peer-reviewed and indexed journals. As a consultant, he has advised projects for large companies, research projects, and undergraduate/graduate degree projects.
