This is a long term and permanent program within Episteme Academy that uses our MOOCs (Massively Open Online Courses) and other resources to mentor those interested in Astronomy. In this program it is expected that students will refrain from using Generative AI to adhere to our integrity policy.
This program assumes zero experience or knowledge in astronomy. Based on your current knowledge base you will be enrolled in the proper courses to build the knowledge base required for research.
Students in this program get access to lectures, telescope time/proposal writing opportunities, free software, planetarium shows, Episteme Academy MOOCs, and will have the opportunity to conduct real research and submit a study for peer review and publication. While publication of submissions are not guaranteed, the experience looks great on a resume or to a college!
There are sliding scale prices and most fees are waived until further notice except the enrollment fee. An enrollment fee of $100 per student can also be sliding scale. The enrollment is a one time payment.
Students can pause and resume the program at their leisure without losing their enrollment.
