Erik Nilsen, CRNA

Erik Nilsen, CRNA grew up in Arvada, CO.   He attended The University of Montana where he obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Pre-med. Following his undergraduate studies, he back to Colorado where he received his undergraduate degree of nursing from Regis University in 2007.  


After receiving his nursing degree, Erik worked as an ICU and Emergency Room nurse for 5 years, he completed a three-year hospital-based residency program in Nurse Anesthesiology at the University of Miami.  Erik is especially grateful for his adult focused training at The University of Miami Hospital, Miami VA System and Jackson Memorial Hospital and surrounding area as well as his pediatric focused training at Miami Children's Hospital, Erik provided anesthetic management for patients of all ages and health statuses. As a nurse anesthesiology resident, he was able to train alongside his medical colleagues and provide care to patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical procedures and specialties.  Erik has over three years experience with outpatient office-based anesthesia specifically for maxillofacial and dental procedures, he is able to ensure a safe and relaxed environment for patients who experience anxiety and fear while undergoing dental procedures.


In his free time, Erik can be found exploring the outdoors with his wife, Kari and their dogs, Maverick and Lola. They enjoy spending time in the mountains camping, skiing, mountain biking, or hiking.  Erik is honored to be back in Colorado and strives to provide his patients with the highest level of care and respect.
