The Digital and Learning Resources team believes in the opportunity to teach our students early on the importance of exercising their civil duties at the polls. That is why, every four years, our department holds the EPISD Student Mock Elections, where students in grades 1-12 can cast a mock virtual vote to choose a presidential candidate at the elementary level and also congressional candidates at the middle school and high school levels. Every year, for the past 18 years, the Digital and Learning Resources team has hosted the EPISD Student Digital Film Festival, inviting students from all corners of our region to create digital films and submit them to our festival. Then, in the spring, we host an awards gala to showcase their fantastic work and present the awards to the winners. Click the link above to learn more about the festival.
The Digital and Learning Resources team provides students and teachers, starting with middle schools, with drone technologies to support lesson enrichment, engaging experiences, and technical skills to prepare them for future careers in spatial and aviation fields.ย
The Digital and Learning Resources team supplies our elementary schools with Lego Spike robots and provides Vex IQ robots for the secondary schools. We offer training for all interested sponsors and provide campus support across all campuses throughout the year as students develop their programs to compete in our annual EPISD Robotics competitions in the spring. The Digital and Learning Resources team provides students and teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools with eSports technologies to support team building, strategic planning, group collaboration, problem-solving, and technical skills, among other areas, in preparation for future careers as strategists, content creators, organizers, and entrepreneurs.ย
