RESEARCH INTEREST

Our research focuses on the scalable optimization algorithm (e.g., multi-scale, large-scale, and high-throughput system) and laboratory automation (e.g., bioprocess and pharmaceutical lab) by incorporating artificial intelligence and optimization theories (e.g., reinforcement learning, model predictive control). The long-term goal is to promote the strong AI on the process industry, which enables the rapid designing of the revolutionary manufacturing/energy processes with high sustainability by self-exploring the state-of-the-art materials and devices.

We offer a variety of projects related to process systems engineering: modeling, simulation, machine learning, control, and optimization. The projects can have a focus on research and industry applications.
