Emmanuel Ofosu

Emmanuel is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Lingnan University (Hong Kong) where he teaches Intermediate Accounting to undergraduate students and ESG Accounting and Disclosure to graduate students. Emmanuel's research examines (1) the determinants of firms’ financial reporting and disclosure choices, (2) Accounting regulations, (3) the real effects of rank-and-file employee compensation, (4) debt contracting, and (5) ESG issues, with a focus on the "S" (i.e., Social) component.
Emmanuel obtained his PhD in Accountancy from City University of Hong Kong in 2024 and master's and bachelor's degrees in 2020 and 2017 from Xiamen University (China) and The University of Cape Coast (Ghana), respectively.
