LUDA

Before December 2015, I had already started learning python and was taking an online class on python. But at the end of March, I lost interest and could not continue due to lack of the right resources. Not until the end of November 2016 when I saw a friend of mine making use of python for web development. He was using a python framework called Django to develop a website for himself. What caught my attention was the way he wrote the code off head. It was like he already understood what he was doing and didn’t need to look into a book to understand what he was doing.

This grabbed my attention and I wanted to go back into python but again lost interest because this time I had the right resources but lack confidence in doing it. For me as a person, I loved playing games and I’ve always wondered how they were made. Multitudes of answers were found due to my research on the internet about game development. Unity came as the first clue to game development and later unreal engine.

One thing unreal engine offered was blueprint which I loved a lot. But unreal engines interface feels complex and kind of not easy to use when it comes to installation and other things. The opposite was Unity which came with a very easy to use interface. The only downside was that I had to learn a programming language which was either JavaScript or C#. While making use of online tutorials, I found out that people made use of C# than JavaScript. So I decided to learn C# and within months I had already gotten how to program using C#. I joined Pluralsight subscription and majorly focused on game development with unity. I learnt a ton of stuffs in unity and then finally decided to make my own game. It wasn’t easy when I started and I observed a lot of failures not until February 2019 when I joined forces with a friend of mine Before December 2015, I had already started leaning python and was taking an online class on python. But at the end March, I lost interest and could not continue due to lack of the right resources. Not until I joined hands with an old friend of mine who was into digital art but has not mastered it. He gave me the Idea of Luda designed it.

So What Is Luda? Luda is a short repetitive single player game which features a player called Luda trying to protect his home from invaders who wants to steal take over his home and claim what is in it. The character has to fight his way all alone to protect his home and prevent the invaders from getting in. If more invaders find their way into his home, he stands a chance of loosing his home and everything in it.

To properly test Luda, I got myself an iPad 9.7 inch. And with this device I’ve understand and captured a lot of information about installing my game on iOS devices, performance, size etc. My major aim is to release both on Android and iOS but Android is producing some colour issues with Luda which needs some correction. But in not much time there will be an Android release. There are still much ideas of games I want to show to the world but my major downside is funds. Play Luda and report to me what is lacking and what needs changes and I’ll gladly make changes to it to suite everyones needs.
