Why Should You Become a member of ASM?

ASM offers students exposure to the professional world of science and develops academic and leadership skills to ensure success:

• Practical skills building courses like the Grant Writing Online Course and the Scientific Writing and Publishing Online Course

• ASM Career website featuring professional development activities, volunteer opportunities, job listings, and more

• Travel grants to attend meetings and present research

• Student Chapters and ASM Branches that let you develop leadership and presentation skills

• Undergraduate Research Fellowship and Research Capstone Fellowship

You do not need to be an ASM member to participate in our some of our events but if you are interested, the student dues are $15 while full membership is $25.
