A Good Environment Is Free Of Hazards

Recently I spent time with an environmental testing services company, travelling with them from one job to another. I was curious about the kind of people who engage the services of an environmental testing company, and I was curious about what the environmental testing service companies find. Just how bad is the environment, I wanted to know, and what should we be doing about it? I found it such an informative morning and learned a whole lot, which I am going to briefly share with you.

Pollution and the environment

Firstly, there is not much you can do about pollution. Environmental testing labs always monitor the pollution levels and they can advise you if allergies or similar might be related to pollution. If your allergies are pollution-related, a doctor would tell you what to do. But environmental testing services are testing for much more than pollution. They get called out to mines, in use and disused, they get called out to factories and warehouses, they get called out to office blocks and apartment blocks, to schools, and they get called out to private homes. When they get called out, they are generally looking for toxins that may be in the air, but also toxins that may be in the water, the building itself, and under the building. And there is a good reason for this. Many mines and buildings were erected when there were no building regulations. Toxic materials may have been used in these buildings, and these toxins result in illness. These toxins need to be removed, or the landowners or managers of the building need to know what to do about it.
