About
Enactus IADT
The Institute of Art and Design Technology Dun Laoghaire (IADT) is one of the newest members to the competition only joining this year. We as a team and a college are very excited to take part and do our bit to contribute to society.
As it’s our first year our opening projects will take some time to get off the ground while we find our feet within Enactus however we are very pleased with them.
Our first project is trying to bring 3D printing to third world countries with the aim of eliminating the need to walk for days to gather parts and equipment for everyday life.
Our second project is about helping young people and teenagers with their online presence and being aware of what they post. The main focus and attention is aimed towards keeping their online presence appropriate for entering the workforce as the internet has become such a large part of our personal and professional lives.
Our team members are eager to get involved and very enthusiastic about or projects. We a lot of faith in them and hope they are as successful as we think they will be. All of us here on Team IADT are thrilled to be joining Enactus and keen to do our best to contribute.

Fight homelessness
We want to help homeless people by giving them an opportunity to start a new life on solid basis. There is a lack of recruits in the French Army, and Army provide salary, food, bed and education. Also, it permits to learn a new job (cooker, mechanism, plumber...) because joining the army DOES NOT MEAN FIGHT !!
Thanks to our volunteer team, we are able to offer to homeless an innovative service: Detecting the homeless skills, giving formations and finally, providing a job (with food and accommodation)
VOLUNTEER
If you are homeless and want Tectum to help you, contact us and tell us more about you and your situation and we will do our best to provide you want you need.
You would like to join an association ? You are concerned with the homelessness issue ? You have some skills that could help us ? Go on our "Volunteer" and "Donate" pages to see the possible actions!

YUP was started in October 2017 by 3rd Year Business Entrepreneurship students at the Institute of Art, Design+ Technology Dun laoghaire. These three students are the trustees of this social enterprise. Marie Karugendo, Rhodline O. Manu and James Doyle.
This idea begun as a requirement of Social enterprise module. Students had to work in groups and come up with a certain type of social enterprise as a business proposal.
Having Marie in the group who is a single mother with four teenage children and, works closely with some vulnerable families in her community, she identified the gap of empowering the young people with skills at a very early stage to boost their confidence, self-esteem and bring awareness of Social and Environmental values. Anti-social behaviour is on the rise in most parts of our country especially here in Dublin. We are experiencing gangs of very young people from vulnerable communities who are involved in street crimes. We need to act now when they are young before they are affected by the negative aspects of society. Prevention is better than cure.
The programme is designed to work with IADT Dun Laoghaire, in a relaxed friendly profession setting of expertise, by setting up market stalls giving the young people a chance to create their own merchandise and sell to the public.
As a single mother and member of the Ugandan Association of Ireland, my passion is to work with the young people from vulnerable communities at a very early stage in their lives. Give them all the available and necessary skills to mould them into successful and better people in our society. I would love to give back to the community and share my experiences.
Born and raised in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents and is now based in Ireland. Rhodline, with a great personality, fun, loving, caring and energetic; has always loved working with children and youth. When she works with them she likes to motivate and encourage them.
I’m a 22 year old born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. Have a passion for Business and especially Entrepreneurship. I also have a keen interest in helping others and helping them up-skill and learn new skills especially entrepreneurial skills.
There's only one thing you should be doing on the night of Friday the 23rd and that's partying with us to the tunes of MIX AND FAIRBANKS, who will be supported by the talented FIONN MCNEIL, OLLY ROBINSON, LEON DOYLE and CHARLIE BERESFORD. 🎶🍻😎
It will be a fiver at the door to raise money for Enactus IADT, to send beehives to Uganda.
See yous there 💃
This event is helping past and present students to connect with each other, and enable present students to get insights into many different opportunities that past students have experienced after doing the specific business courses Iadt offers. This will in turn create links within the workforce and create job setups for present students.
