Ensemble Vocalis is a choir based in Oberhausbergen, near Strasbourg (France).
Founded in 1994, it brings together around forty amateur singers and performs a varied repertoire from Renaissance to contemporary music.
Since 2024, Ensemble Vocalis has been conducted by Daniel Sablayrolles, former principal bassoon of the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra.
With a background in music education and choral singing, he has developed a strong sensitivity to vocal work and collective expression.
After a distinguished career as a professional musician, he now brings his experience to the choir, combining artistic excellence, attentive listening and a supportive approach, in a constant search for balance and harmony.
