If you want your plastic waste to be recycled (and not burnt), you can put it in a trash box placed in room E043 at ENS & rooms 415, 511, 515 at Jussieu campus.
Once we reach a sufficient amount, we will give that to an association "Les bouchons de l'espoir".

Please note:
The plastic should be type 2, 4 or 5 (please look for a number in a triangle, marked on the plastic), and it should be clean without any powder, liquid, or paper labels.
For example, pipette tip boxes & supports are welcome!
Eppendorf and Falcon tubes can also go in if they haven't been in contact with toxic chemicals nor bio-hazard.
We can also put empty 5 L plastic bottles of non-toxic solvent after cutting them in half.
And of course, caps ("bouchons") of plastic bottles are welcome (you can find a small jar next to the sink at room Racémique, too).
Up to now, our department gave 81 bags - 66 large (100-130 L) & 15 medium (50 L) - since July 2024.
