  • This is a good site that gives basic information on a lot of topics that we learn in this class. Make sure you click on the topics under the "US History" column.

Encyclopedia.com

  • This is a pretty good, FREE encyclopedia that you can use to find information on almost any topic. All you have to do it type your topic into the search bar at the top.

U-S-History

  • An excellent website that has a large index of general information. This website is great for helping you with projects and essays!

The Independence Hall Association

  • The Independence Hall Association (IHA) owns the website ushistory.org, which supports our mission to educate the public about the Revolutionary and Colonial eras of American history.

Shmoop

  • Shmoop is an excellent study guide website that contains: timelines, people, in depth topical reviews, popular book and movie references, test reviews, question blogs and every History teacher's favorite part...a citation page :)

Outline of American History

  • This website contains detailed outlines of all of the topics that we discuss in our class.

The Rise and Fall of Jim Crow

  • From The Emancipation Proclamation to Brown v. Board of Education, this website covers almost 100 years of specific African American History topics (1863 - 1954).

  • HippoCampus provides high-quality, multimedia content on general education subjects for middle school, high school and college students free of charge.
