The 2024 BaySix field trip was a tremendous success! Congratulations to all participants and to Victoria Kalendra-Frystak, the winner of the ACD T-shirt Design Competition. We are excited to see what this talented group creates next! During the trip, our freshmen had the opportunity to visit BaySix Screen Printing, where they engaged in hands-on learning about the screen printing process. Students printed their own designs, gaining practical experience and valuable insights into this dynamic and creative industry.

The visit offered valuable insight into the industry, and students thoroughly enjoyed learning about the equipment and techniques used in print production. The Career Academy Internship Summit, hosted by Wake County Public Schools, provides students with valuable opportunities to connect with local employers and explore internship opportunities across various industries. It’s a key step in preparing students for real-world experiences and future career success.
The 2024 Sophomore field trip to NC State’s School of Design on the 13th was a great success. Students had the opportunity to explore the various facilities and gain firsthand insight into what college life could be like should they choose to pursue a design career after graduation.

This year's Academy team-building event provided a refreshing opportunity to enjoy the outdoors during the school day. The event included several get-to-know-you activities, a drawing game to enhance our communication skills, and a creative twist on a relay race to wrap up the morning.
