Eskripto Ng Katagalugan

History

Eskripto Ng Katagalugan also known as ENK was founded by Tala Kina, Daniel, and Joyce. The primary goal was to spread basic knowledge about the script. They have planned a group chat on Facebook Messenger, which was announced from Tala’s public post on June 8, 2020.

The group chat gained more members day by day which led them to post their lesson photos in a borrowed Facebook group page named "SBG," owned by both Erza and Tala. The SBG Facebook group was a private roleplay and gaming group which was not intended for educational purposes. Daniel suggested for ENK to have its own public Facebook Group Page that was created on November 2, 2020.

Mission

Our mission is to spread insight and invite everyone to know and learn about Baybayin and other Philippine writing systems. We want to inspire newer generations with learning our own native writing systems through:

normalizing its use in conversations, note taking, art, documents, hobbies and more;
using baybayin and other Philippine writing systems in a fun way with the current era and;
creating a friendly community and learning space where anyone can help and motivate each other to learn and practice writing together.
