Fajardo is a town in the eastern tip of Puerto Rico, only 35 miles away from San Juan Airport. The area is known as a water sports hub with more than a half dozen Marinas, including Puerto del Rey, the biggest Marina in the Caribbean, where you could find a wide variety of charters and rentals. Las Cabezas de San Juan, a Nature Reserve that includes the bioluminescent Laguna Grande and a colonial-era Lighthouse. Sailboats dot the wide bay of Seven Seas Beach.Offshore waters and Cays like Icacos and Palomino are home to dolphins, turtles and manatees. To the west you will find trails of El Yunque National Forest. A wide variety of local Restaurants are ready to serve your favorite dish, including seafood.

Fajardo es uno de los 78 municipios del estado libre asociado de Puerto Rico.
En el Censo de 2010 tenía una población de 36 993 habitantes y una densidad poblacional de 135,6 personas por km².3 Fue fundado en 1760 por el colonizador español Juan Antonio Fajardo, de cuyo apellido proviene el nombre del municipio, y en 1772 fue llamado Villa de Fajardo . El municipio de Fajardo está organizado, territorialmente, en 8 barrios más el Fajardo Pueblo, el centro administrativo y principal pueblo del municipio.
