In the classroom...
... I am Teacher Bee. I have been working with English language learners as a mentor, teacher, and coach for 15 years. I have taught English to both youth and adults in school, at centers for refugees, on college campuses, and through online learning since 2007. I look forward to helping students grow in their love of learning English. I am the proud parent of two amazing kids. I have a high standard of excellence and blend in the right amount of enthusiasm. We are a bilingual family, and we understand deeply the excitement and challenges of learning a second language. I enjoy rollerblading, canoeing, and reading great books. I look forward to meeting you in a coaching session soon.

I believe language is a key to advancement. The journey of language learning takes place through diligent practice and perseverance. Language learners are accustomed to making many mistakes along the way and overcoming obstacles to speak the target language with fluency. High expectations propel us toward advanced fluency. I work with English language learners to reach their goals in English writing and conversation.

I believe in collective success. We succeed together, so coaching sessions combine high expectations with high support to empower you to reach your English language goals. Do you want to focus on pronunciation, sentence formation, grammar, or all of the above? I work together with students to ensure they are able to practice English in a supportive environment.

I believe language learning happens best through practicing. Language learners develop receptive language skills first. Coaching sessions focus on the productive language skills of speaking and writing so that language learners can move toward fluency.
