Our school is located in Silifke, which is a small city by the mediterranean sea. Silifke is famous for its yoghurt and has lots of natural and historical beauties. It has a mild climate therefore you can enjoy swimming in a clear sea and having sunbathe on the long sandy beaches throughout six months. Being a historical city, Silifke is full of historical places such as Uzuncaburç (Olba-Diocaesarea), Silifke Kalesi (Silifke Castle), Aya-Thekla (Hagia Thekla), Kızkalesi (the Maiden Castle), Cennet-Cehennem (Caves of Heaven-Hell) and Taşköprü (Stone Bridge). Silifke has a rich folklore and local songs. Especially the yoghurt of Silifke is famous all over Turkey and while the dancers are dancing,they imitate the process of yoghurt making. Every year an international festival which takes one week takes place in Silifke (19th May-26th May). Silifke has a population of 118.000 but it doubles particularly in summers.
