Five reasons you want to go!

1. Cultural Immersion into the DEAF-WORLD

Immerse yourself in a rich, visually-centered culture where communication happens naturally through sign language. You will engage daily with Deaf individuals from around the world, gaining cultural awareness that cannot be replicated in a classroom. This experience deepens respect, understanding, and authentic connection within the global Deaf community.

2. Topical ASL Training in Sports, Geography, and the Gospel

Sharpen your ASL skills in real-world contexts, especially in sports terminology, international geography, and gospel communication. Learn to navigate dynamic conversations with clarity and cultural sensitivity. This training equips you for both effective communication and meaningful ministry.

3. Experience the Beauty of Austria

Travel to breathtaking alpine landscapes and experience rich European culture. From snow-covered mountains to historic architecture, the setting is unforgettable. This opportunity blends global travel with purpose, creating lasting memories beyond the event itself.

4. Grow in Grace and Knowledge of Jesus Christ through Christian Discipleship – Spiritual Disciplines

Be challenged to grow spiritually through intentional discipleship. Daily rhythms of prayer, Scripture, and accountability will strengthen your faith in meaningful and practical ways, and equip you to share the gospel with the most unreached people group on the planet.

5. It’s Not Just the Destination, It’s the Entire Journey

The impact of Deaflympics extends far beyond the event itself. From preparation and training to shared experiences in ministry and travel, the journey transforms your perspective and purpose. The relationships, growth, and lessons will amount to a life-changing experience.
