Exploitation of Women
Today, we may dream of settling in a human-colony on Mars, but the reality is that even today half of the population of our country suffer from exploitation in one form or another. In rural areas, women from normal families suffer violence in one way or the other. If a boy is not born the mother is held responsible for it while everyone knows its scientific reasons. Exploitation does not stop here. They are discriminated against in many other ways. Although many rules and laws have been enacted by the government to improve the status of women, sometimes such rules and laws are limited to books. For example, the state of Uttarakhand, also called Devbhoomi, needs a lot of improvement in terms of the status of women. In the Niti Aayog report Uttarakhand is ranked 15th in the field of gender equality and cases of domestic violence in the rural areas. Over the centuries, various legal and illegal socio-religious sanctions have forced her to bear the indignities like rape, child marriage, physical abuse etc. heaped on her by society. She has been used and abused by the society at large and her family in particular.
Today, women are educated and aware of their rights and duties and only their social and economic progress is needed in most of the areas. Women have crossed the four walls of the house to work. She is also engaged in a job along with household work and is performing her work with honesty and integrity in both places. Denied basic human rights like the right of education, health and expression, her position in the society is that of a mute animal tied to a post in the house. The spread of awareness and education has done little to her second class status. It has however been noticed that the financial empowerment of women has gone a long way in improving their social standing. This has also given them the courage to fight against injustice in society. Unfortunately, the spread of such empowerment is slow . It will be a long time before women are free from the exploitative people in the society. Education has also gone a long way to improve their lot. But still much remains to be desired.
Life is full of struggles, not a bed of roses. Failures generally disappoint and discourage us. Hardships try a man in the same way as gold is tried in fire. Failure should be regarded as stepping-stone to success. We should not allow our failure to blind our judgment. We should learn some lessons out of failure. Every time we fail, we come to know the reason for our weakness and defects and at the same time we also discover our hidden power. The experience we gain each time makes our path to success smoother and easier. We can achieve success in life by removing pitfalls which caused our failure. Thus failures are our best instructor and guide. Failure makes us more active and bold. Indian freedom fighters including Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Vallabhbhai Patel faced countless failures. But they put the goal of India's freedom above everything and hence India became independent. Great scientist Thomas Elva Edison failed a thousand times before he could invent an electric bulb. Some students also have examination phobia and mental pressure. Life is an interesting game . It does not guarantee that success will be yours at every point in every round. When nothing seems to work out in the right manner and it seems that all roads are leading to failure and nothingness, one has to just remember the arrival of the sunrise, sun rising dispelling darkness at that very moment when night seems the blackest. Who knows that this is the last round and you are declared a champion. There is nothing wrong in losing, but one should never forget the lesson learnt by every failure. One climbs the ladder of success by stepping courageously, over each failure, carefully picking up on the lesson taught by each failure and learning from them. It is important to realize that failure is not the end of the world. There would be opportunities galore to rise and shine.

Evils of Black Money
The evil of black money has been threatening to ruin our economy since Independence. It is a big hurdle in the development of our country. Unaccounted or concealed money that one has hoarded without paying the taxes due on it is called the black money. Big industrial houses contribute greatly to the generation of black money. Big firms conceal a part of their profit without paying any taxes. In many large industrial firms quotas or import licenses are obtained in excess of their actual requirements and large scale smuggling is done entirely in black money and the money thus earned is injected back into the economy. This money is then invested in some offshore tax haven country. The money from this tax haven country is then invested back in the economy through various instruments like Participatory Notes, Foreign Portfolio Investors etc.. Big industrialists, celebrities, corrupt politicians, corrupt officers and business tycoons who are involved in dealing of Black Money are clever enough to doge the laws made by our government to check their malpractices.
During the last few years there has been a fundamental change in people's attitude towards black money. Now black money has come to be regarded as a manifestation of cleverness and authority. Tax-evasion is no longer regarded as a cause of shame; they call it “number 2 ka paisa”. Such people openly talk about making money in number 1 and number 2 from time to time. It is a matter of great cleverness and pride if someone is able to get this extra money especially if positioned in a lucrative government or semi government position.
The government has been making an effort to unearth black money for a long time but the total amount of black money in circulation is increasing unchecked. It is all because of corruption in our political system. Political will power is insufficient and corruption and money laundering largely goes unchecked. Criminals are sheltered by influential people and escape the clutches of the law. Politicians depend on big business houses for their election funds so they have to patronize these business houses when they get elected to power. This vicious endless cycle goes on and with it the complex circulation of Black Money deepens.
At a personal level this is also known as materialism, which brings tension and unhappiness in its wake. Evil takes birth when people are obsessed with money and compare everything in terms of money. Desire to earn money is not the root of the evil everybody needs money to fulfil the worldly needs but the problem arises when we want more than we need thus we start to crave more of it and are never satisfied. Overtime money has shaped money-minded people into greedy human beings who put others down simply because they are poor or lack a certain status that comes easy with money. In short, the evils of Black Money are not limited to deterioration and destruction of the economy at national or international level; it also results in the destruction of the social fabric of the society as well as the personal integrity of a person.
Introduction - Nowadays Mobile Phones have become a basic need for us . Mobile phones have completely changed the lives of humans in many ways . Mobile phones have become widespread all over the world . With the invention of the mobile phone , the writing of letters has become history . In addition, mobile phones also play an anti - social role in society. However, It depends on the use of mobile phones. In short, we can see that mobile phones have their uses and misuses that depend entirely on the user.
Uses of Mobile Phones - There are lots of uses of mobile phones . Mobile phones are an integral part of our daily communications . All mobile phones have the ability of voice calling and simple text messaging services . Their small size , relatively low cost , and many uses make these devices very valuable to all sections of society, especially business-people who are increasingly using them for communication and organization . On the other hand mobile phones especially smartphones are used to watch movies , play games, listen to music or to browse the internet as well.
Abuse of Mobile Phones - On the other hand, there are some disadvantages of mobile phones as well. Teenagers or students are greatly influenced by the negative aspects of mobile phones. Instead of using the mobile phones for their benefits some students or teenagers are seen wasting their valuable time mostly in listening to songs, playing online games, spending hours after hours on social networking sites, sending/broadcasting offensive material over the Internet. Some physicians claim that excessive use of mobile phones can be a health hazard.
Everyone wants a better future for his country. The future of the country depends on the young generation, especially students, who have to represent the country as leaders, build the country by becoming engineers or treat their people by becoming doctors. Students are sources of vital energy to transform the face of the country. On the other hand politics means art of governance and rule. It is the concern of the politicians. Student-politics means the participation and learning the art of governance by the students. The students must participate in a healthy political system which is good for the health of the democracy. Students and politics must complement each other . Students should take part in the politics of the country which can help them to know about the process of governance in the country. Participation in politics can make the students aware about the problems of the country. They can understand and choose politics as a career and take the country forward. Political participation by students is of utmost importance in the present day. It is a must for the all round development of the students.
Students can know how the democratic system proceeds. How the Prime Minister is elected and the President is made. There are some students who don't know the political system of the country. We should motivate such students to take part in the political system. Young people today are more informed than before. Student organizations provide opportunities for various opinions and political interests on campus. Students nowadays are better informed about the day to day politics and current affairs. Participation in various conferences, rallies etc. have increased today with the involvement of politics in student groups.
There are some negative effects of involvement of students in politics. Choosing wrong or negative politics can result in a great loss to a student’s academic life. The most common disadvantage is that students neglect their studies when they get involved in politics. Students tend to study less and take more active part in politics. Their valuable time gets wasted as a result of political activities. As a result they score poorly in studies and focus more on other activities that may not do good to the students. In true sense, politics has many advantages if it is kept according to its need but it is also true that politics is a major cause for indiscipline in educational institutions. There should be a balance between studies and political activities if a student wants to undertake politics in student life.

Online Learning
What is online learning? Online Learning is a system in which people, mostly students, learn through online platforms like Google Meet, WebEx, Zoom, Youtube etc. You Tube has become a repository of videos related to different topics of knowledge that is accessible to all as per their requirement. Nowadays, online learning has become common. Schools, Colleges and Universities have switched their teaching-learning on to online platforms. The primary reason for this switching is the global pandemic caused by Covid-19. Not only teaching-learning activities but also business meetings and other person to person interactions have moved on to these online virtual platforms.
Online learning has many advantages over traditional methods. Both, the learner and the educator can attend the teaching- learning session from the location of their choice and comfort. There is no need to travel to a specific location for learning like classrooms in schools or colleges. It is an economical way of learning. On platforms like Youtube the learner has full freedom to to learn at their own pace, location and time. There are many educators in such virtual spaces and a learner has many alternatives before him. A learner can learn from whomever he or she likes. The teaching-learning activities can be done individually or in virtual groups as per requirement and interest. Besides, the evaluation process can also be conducted through virtual media. There are many disadvantages of online learning as well. Lack of modern communication devices like laptops and mobiles and network coverage are major hurdles in online learning. Virtual interaction among participants in online learning lacks in nonverbal communication. Due to this communication remains ineffective and eventually creates a barrier and results in indiscipline or poor learning outcomes. There are many health related issues in the prolonged use of communication devices like mobiles and computers etc. Eye-sight problems, hearing problems, mental fatigue and posture-related problems have become common indicators of ill health.
Online learning is fast becoming a part and parcel of our day to day life and despite its many adverse effects we are compelled to use these platforms for our teaching-learning activities. The necessity of social distancing created by the pandemic exhorts us to switch to online media for our teaching- learning requirement and given its many advantages it is safe to assume that these modern virtual methods of interaction will continue to be used in future. Online Learning has become a necessary evil.

Communal Harmony
India is a land of religions. It has set an example of unity in diversity as people of different castes and religions live in harmony in the country. However this harmony is distributed many or time for different religious groups and communities. People belong to different reasons here in harmony. Different festivals Holi, Diwali, Eid or Christmas are celebrated with equal zeal. However, communal harmony is disrupted at times due to differences between certain religious groups. India is a secular state. The constitution of our country gives its citizens the freedom to practice any religion of their choice. They also have the liberty to change their religion, if they wish. The state does not have any official religion. Every religion is treated and respected equally in India and this goes a long way in maintaining the communal harmony in the country. However, even as the constitution of India enforces laws to maintain communal harmony and the Government of the country takes strong measures to ensure the same. There have been several instances in the past that have disrupted the peace in the name of religion. It is essential for every individual to understand the importance of communal harmony and contribute towards maintaining the same so that such instances are not repeated in future.

2. How Real is India's Progress
India has paced with the times. It has made herculean efforts to change its old and discredited image. Till the 1970s. India was considered to be a land of famines, droughts, beggars and snake charmers. But in the last three or four decades, it has made tremendous progress. India's economic and industrial might has been universally recognised. Now India is being counted as one of the fastest emerging economies of the world. In the 1960s, we had to depend on the mercy of western countries to survive. But now we are self- sufficient in food. India has emerged as the second largest paddy producer as well. Mechanization of agriculture and the Green Revolution has led to self -sufficiency despite the rapid increase in population. With an emphasis on horticulture, India has emerged as the largest producer of fruits and the second largest producer of vegetables. The white Revolution has made India the largest producer of milk. The India Pharma industry ranks 4th in the world. India has made rapid strides in defense preparedness. India's breathtaking. India's progress in space technology only matches with the advanced nations of the world. India is on the move. It will attain new heights in future. Disaster management programmes have not proved up to the mark and up to the task. The Government and the concerned agencies should provide comprehensive aids and help to survivors, particularly the children. They must provide nutrition, food, clothes, shelters and medical aids to them. All efforts should be made to wipe out the scars left by these disasters.

4. Failures are the pillars of success.
This proverb means that failures lead us to success. Failures should not discourage us. Success and failure are the two sides of the same coin. There is not a single person who has not seen failure in life. Failures should not discourage us. We should not lose heart in case we fail to achieve our goals. Failures have their own uses. They make us conscious of our weaknesses. They give us an opportunity to remove them. We try to find out the reason for our failures and then make a man wiser. He learns a lesson not to repeat old mistakes in the future. A man who has not tasted failures doesn't know the value of success. Success is always the result of hard work, firm determination and dedication. Sometimes your attempt proves to be a failure. But it is a natural phenomenon. Therefore failures should not be looked upon as enemies but as a friend of men.

6. Joy of Childhood.
Childhood is the most fun and memorable time in anyone's life. It is the first stage of life which we enjoy in whatever way we like. Besides this is the time that shapes up the future. The parents love and care for their children. It is the golden period of life in which we can teach children everything. Children, it has no importance but if you ask an adult it is very important. Moreover, it is a time when the social character of children develops. In this stage of life, we can easily remodel the mindset of someone. Besides bad memories haunt the person his entire life. As we grow we feel more attachment to our childhood and we want to get back those days but we can't. That's why many people say 'time is neither a friend nor a foe'. Because the time which is gone cannot come back and neither does our childhood.
