Descriptive text is a type of text that describes a person, place, object, or event in detail so that the reader can imagine it.
When describing computer components, we focus on:

What it looks like
What it does (function)
Language Features of Descriptive Text:
Uses Simple Present Tense
Uses Adjectives (e.g., color, size, shape)
Uses Noun Phrases (e.g., "a small black keyboard"
EXAMPLE
Example 1: CPU
The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the brain of the computer.
It controls all the operations of the computer.
The CPU is usually inside a case and connected to the monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
Example 2: Monitor
A monitor is a screen that shows text, images, and videos.
It looks like a TV and is used to see what the computer is doing.
Monitors can be flat or curved and come in different sizes.
Example 3: Keyboard
A keyboard is an input device with many keys.
It is used to type letters, numbers, and symbols into the computer.
Most keyboards are rectangular and have black or white keys.
Example 4: Mouse
A mouse is a small device used to control the pointer on the screen.
It usually has two buttons and a scroll wheel.
You can move it on a flat surface to click or select things on the screen.
