•3-point students taking the oral exam in the winter 2023-24 (שנה"ל תשפ"ד) will be tested by a human tester (as in the past) with no changes in format, structure, or assessment of the exam. Schools are encouraged to join the pilot and try out the BOOST this winter.
•From the summer of 2024, all students completing a 3-point English bagrut will be tested on the BOOST.
At the beginning of August 2021, the English inspectorate site moved to its new home on the education portal.
In light of COVID-19, it is not recommended for non-school personnel to enter schools.
This year only, a teacher from your school, who is NOT the student’s teacher may administer the oral exam (face to face).
Alternatively, you may choose to have a teacher from another school administer the oral exam. Testers may administer the test via zoom for health reasons.
The Bagrut Coordinator is responsible for:
a. registering the students for the oral exams
b. connecting (שיוך התלמיד) the student to the testing date and to the tester.
The English coordinator is responsible for:
a. choosing the tester (s) for those students who will be taking the exam orally.
All teachers who serve as “testers” must be approved by the Marvad via the experts site.

Update for Module B Log for this year's 12th graders in 2021: You can do either one summative assessment and one graded task OR two graded tasks. It is your choice. Each one is worth 40% for a total of 80% of the grade (the other 20% is the extensive reading).
If a student moves from 4 to 5 points or from 3 to 4 points, deduct 10 points from the grade on every text in the log that was studied and assessed at the lower level. In addition, please note that every text that appears in the log must be on the approved list for the higher level (i.e., every text in a log that is submitted for 5 points must be on the list of approved texts for 5 points).
