Final Reflection
Throughout this semester in English 1101, I learned to recognize writing as a process including drafting mainly by participating in our project peer reviews as we did for project 2. These peer reviews showed me different points of view about the best visual rhetoric. This also helped me become rhetorically aware while reading and analyzing, especially through the use of certain articles such as the article we chose on our own for project 2. Additionally, I learned how to better use critical thinking skills through essays, and projects as I applied them in project 3 for our group project to overcome obstacles such as having to switch community partners at the last second, and having a short amount of time to do research. This was an obstacle that required my group partner, and I to split the tasks and our time wisely to get things done. Then, using MLA formatting I had to write essays and use in text citations and quotes accurately, along with learning how to demonstrate rudimentary research skills. Also, the essays I was required to write on our weekly posts helped me better under stander how to properly document outside sources. As for how to identify appropriate mechanical and grammatical usage for specific audiences and genres, our project 2 script and podcast helped better my skills in that area not only by having a peer review of our rough draft which helped me see my work from an outside point of view, but also by the feedback that was given from the writing center.
