Gender Inequality in Healthcare
“Gender equality is a human fight, not just a female fight.” -Frieda Pinto.
As you can tell from the above quote, my podcast is all about gender inequality. Unfortunately, it is something that we see every day. We can never really get away from it. My name is Meghan Renee Parks, and I am a college student at the College of Coastal Georgia. Below you will find a link to a podcast covering, “Gender Inequality in Healthcare.” I created this podcast for a project in my English 1102 class. What started as a project, ended in a lot of self-reflection. I wanted to make sure to take the research I found to be extremely helpful to me and put that into the podcast. As a student who is studying Psychology, I found this topic of Gender Inequality in Healthcare not only interesting but extremely relatable. I have seen and gone through my own experiences that involve discrimination to both male and female. Throughout my podcast, I will discuss two different scholarly articles that dive deep into the oppression that women may face in the medical field (whether that be as patients, family in the waiting room, or medical professionals). To go along with those two articles, I have two more scholarly articles that either oppose the ideas or give a different perspective to the ideas presented.
