Hi, I'm Khyle and yes the "H" is silent. Believe it or not I chose that. In 2017 I became the first openly transgender person in my company. The picture on my left is me when I entered the Army in 2005. Back then I worked as a Mental Health Technician. The picture on the right is also me in the back of my ambulance. I work as a paramedic in Savannah Georgia and love it.
I'm 36 and have been lucky to have accomplished so much in my life. I have competed in martial arts, been an advocate for the LGBTQ community, and got to marry my best friend and college crush.
I wasn't always this confident. After the military things were hard but luckily I have an amazing, supportive family and the best wife in the world. Working in EMS has taught me to appreciate life because you only get one. To quote one of my favorite musicals from Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), "I am not throwing away my shot!"
