In this podcast, I am going to analyze the rhetorical techniques of this BBC news article called, “Coronavirus: Is the world winning the pandemic fight?” This article was written by James Gallagher and published on August 10th, 2020. Gallagher’s BBC article is about how well or poorly a country is doing when it comes to dealing with Covid-19. How are these nations handling this pandemic? Gallagher also emphasizes how serious and real this pandemic can be. This podcast is to show you how this writer informs the public about these countries and how they’ve dealt with the Coronavirus. I will evaluate how the writer uses their words in order to get their information across. We will attempt to show the author’s tone, diction, and their uses of rhetorical devices throughout this podcast. Does the author have any biases towards a country? How well is he able to support his claims? Are they supported with evidence or are they just the writer’s opinion? We will be reviewing all of these things in my podcast. Please take a few minutes to find out what I think in this podcast. Will you have the same opinions as me or will they be different?
