Me and my friend Allyson at ccga.
My name is Ashley Herrmann, I am about to be 17 in February and I am a dual enrollment student here at CCGA as well as a homeschooled junior in high school. This is my first semester here and I have not decided on my major quit yet but, I was planning to major in business or computer science for wider career opportunities. I plan on continuing my dual enrollment classes until I graduate and start college here. Although I can be a bit shy at first, I always enjoy making new friends. I love to talk and the more I talk the more I tend to open up. I have really enjoyed my first semester here at CCGA and can't wait to further my education!
This cite is my English portfolio for Dr.McGinnis's 1101 English class, through out the semester we focused on five projects.
Project 1: Wrote a paper that focused on my rhetorical self, the decisions I make and how those decisions have made me who I am today.
Project 2: Made a rhetorical analysis podcast on the article "How Has Joe Biden Become So Unpopular?" found in New York Times and written by Jamelle Bouie. I analyze Bouie's article and his rhetorical decisions.
Project 3: For Project 3 me and my group worked on an Service-Learning project for the Animal Control of Glynn county on how to be a good pet owner. We made an infographic that gives in depth advice on how to properly take care of your pet.
Project 4: This was where me and my group made our Service-Learning poster.
Project 5: I watched a commercial “The All Natural Burger '" and talked about how commercials like these use women as objects by sexualizing them just to sell their products.
Final Reflection: Tells of my reflection on the whole semester in my English class.
