English Speaking Pro is built to work offline. Your lessons, progress, statistics and voice recordings stay on your device. We do not run analytics and we do not sell your personal information. The one third party that receives data is Google, for advertising — section 7 explains exactly what that involves and how to control it.
If you choose Continue with Google, Google supplies your display name, email address and profile picture URL so the app can greet you and keep progress tied to your account. That information is stored on your device only.
If you choose Continue as Guest, no account information is collected at all and the app is fully usable.
The app keeps a local database and local preferences containing your course progress, day and module completion, quiz scores, XP and coins, streaks, achievements, your chosen learning pack, and your settings such as language, theme, font size, study goal and reminder time. This data never leaves your device unless you export or share it yourself.
Speaking practice records your voice only while you tap the record control. Recordings are saved in the app's private internal storage so you can play them back, and they are never transmitted anywhere. They are removed when you delete them, when you clear the app's data, or when you uninstall the app. Denying the microphone permission disables recording and nothing else.
The app uses the internet for two things: downloading your Google profile picture after you sign in, and requesting advertisements. Course content ships inside the app and is not fetched from a server. No learning data, progress or voice recording is ever uploaded.
If you enable the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. It is generated on-device and involves no server and no push service. The app asks to be notified when your device restarts so it can reschedule that reminder. You can turn reminders off in Settings or in Android's notification settings.
The app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process:
your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID),
coarse location derived from your IP address,
information about how you interact with an ad.
We never send your learning data, your progress or your voice recordings to any ad network.
Where ads appear: the Home, Packages and Settings screens, and at the end of a completed session. Where they never appear: during a lesson, during a quiz question, or during speaking practice.
Rewarded ads are shown only when you choose to watch one in exchange for an optional benefit. Declining costs you nothing you had already earned.
Google's advertising practices are described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with data brokers. Google receives data in two situations: if you sign in with Google, and to serve advertising as described in section 7. Google's own privacy policy governs what it does with that data. Nobody else receives anything.
Because your data is stored locally, you control it. Reset Progress in Settings clears your learning data. Clearing the app's storage in Android Settings, or uninstalling the app, removes everything including recordings. We hold no server-side copy to delete.
The app is a general-audience learning tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us at the address above.
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated and the revised policy will be published before the change takes effect.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you are asked for consent before any personalised ad is served, and you can change that choice at any time from within the app. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of ad personalisation entirely, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Declining personalised ads does not restrict any part of the app.
