Do I only get to paint on the same layer as drawing layer? Then what would be the point of separating layers into 4 different types as O,L,C.U?

Or if I ever want to paint on the C layer, using brush tool and painting page by page would be the only option ?

Hi All,

I would like to also request the addition of the existing Sample Paint (Eyedropper) tool from the Materials tray be added to the Tools Menu (under Paint Brush) and allow, more importantly, a shortcut to be assigned in Sketchup Preferences.

So, all you need to do is press B, and then hold down the ALT key to sample any material in the model view, let up when the current material is set as you wish, and paint away as many objects as desired.

Further, if you select any one of the following tools, Refine Edge, Rotobrush or Paint and you double-click on a layer, even a nested composition, the Layer Panel will appear. Off course such layers must not have their Collapsed Transformation or Continuously Rasterize switch enabled.

I've just now reinstalled the latest drivers (latest on ugee website was a few weeks ago) but paint tool sai still won't work. If I have paint tool sai focused, the pen will not longer move the mouse.

The only fix I know of is going into the paint tool SAI folder and opening 'misc'Then change "TabletMouseSimulation = 0" to "TabletMouseSimulation = 1" . That should fix the pen not moving.. but currently I have come across another problem with the stabilizer not working (after using this fix to stop the pen from not working) and its really frustrating me im considering getting a wacom x_x

Hello again I was wondering if its possible to recreate the feeling of the line quality from paint tool sai ?Like stabilization wise or even these brushes. Mostly the marker brush, watercolor and pencil. Thank you.

Dose anyone know a program that has the the curve, edit, and pressure features that SAI has? I like how you can make a line and then just add points with the edit button. The pressure tool is really great too. Are there any vector based programs that are as easy to use as SAI?

Both are vector-based, have excellent brush engines, and allow simple editing after the fact (add a point, recurve etc) and both have really solid pressure systems for tablets - Affinity Designer also allows manual editing of the pressure curve of a stroke after the fact which is great for working with a mouse but still having curve dynamics; Concepts has some amazing approaches to vector based but still painterly that set it completely apart from other vector design and art programs.

I have never used processing before and started learning it a bit to help a friend in their course as they have never done any coding before. One of the assignments was to make a simple paint tool that lets you change the color and brush size that you are using. To do this we made a sidebar at the bottom that had all of the color and brush size options which worked fine. I decided I wanted to try moving the brush sizes to a separate sidebar on the side so that there would be more room for more color options and more brush sizes.

Hi was wondering if there is any tool to make something like this. Here they use live paint tool in illustrator. Few things in AI are stopping me to use Inkscape and become full open-source software user :(

Sorry, which part of the video is the live paint tool? Can you link to the corresponding time in the video, please? It would also help to include a description of the functionality you're looking for.

Typically, you would draw the square (using the video as an example). But instead of using the Paint Bucket tool, I would use the traditional vector fill. The Paint Bucket tool is meant to be used in cases where it's inconvenient to create closed paths where a traditional fill can be used. But if you have something that's already a closed path or shape, I would use the traditional fill. (Click on a color from the palette, or configure a custom color using Fill and Stroke dialog.)

Then if you want to use a color from an imported image in the file, you can use the Dropper tool to choose that color and change the color of the closed path that you already filled. First select the closed path or shape, then put the Dropper tool over the color you want to choose, and click. Then the fill color of the closed path will be changed to the color from the Dropper tool.

Import the raster image using Blocky (Optimize Speed) option in the Import dialog. This will allow the pixels to show when you zoom in. Then you can use the Dropper tool to select the color of each pixel.

Oh, or make the squares 99% transparent. That 1 % opacity would allow easy selecting. But it would affect the color which the Dropper tool chooses. Not much, but a tiny bit. So if the color needs to be precise, that won't work.

The fireplace is a centerpiece in our home. The investment of time was ABSOLUTELY worth it. I was so worried the grout area would look odd with paint on it. I think that is what had me the most stressed. But I worried for nothing.

Hello, this is probably something very simple, but I just can't figure it out!!! I was paiting in a pixel mode using brush tool with an Apple Pencil, I often use a two tap gesture with my hands to scroll, and somewhere during this process my brush tool has stopped working. I have tried creating a new pixel layer, choosing a different brush, different color, checked that my layer and my swatch have a 100% opacity, NOTHING works. I have restarted Affinity Designer and even my Ipad with zero results. I cannot paint with my Apple Pencil, I also cannot paint with my own finger... It just doesn't do anything, although in History I do see using paint brush! I'm going crazy here... Eraser and vector brush tools work as expected, this only affects pixel paint brush tool... Can anybody help me out? Thanks in advance!

It's possible to apply the current color to the entire layer with the paint bucket in the Color picker. You can also apply a color to a scene object without losing painted color detail through the use of materials.

SAI or Easy Paint Tool SAI (SAI) is a lightweight raster graphics editor and painting software for Microsoft Windows developed and published by Systemax Software. Development of the software began on August 2, 2004, and the first alpha version was released on October 13, 2006. SAI's official release (1.0.0) was on February 25, 2008, and an update preview was released shortly after. It has been available on Microsoft Windows from XP to 11.

SAI is a lightweight painting application. The user interface allows multiple documents to be opened at the same time. The drawing canvas can be both zoomed and rotated using the sliders on the navigator or the hotkeys configured on the keyboard. The toolbar on the top part of the screen also includes a button to mirror the drawing view without mirroring the actual drawing. It is also possible to open multiple viewports to the same document. An application-wide scratchpad (which can be used as a color mixing panel) is provided, which is saved between sessions. Colors can be stored in the swatches panel.

Various raster drawing tools are implemented, such as the Airbrush, Watercolor, Pen, and Marker, which can all be easily customized, and stored in slots in the user interface of the application. There is also a set of vector drawing tools intended for inking, which, like the raster tools, can be configured to be pen pressure-sensitive. 0852c4b9a8
