At English for Kids, your child's safety and privacy are very important to us. This app is designed for children and fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation for Kids (GDPR-K), and Apple’s App Store Kids Category Guidelines.
Welcome to English for Kids. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our young learners and their parents. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in our mobile application.
Our app is designed for children under the age of 13.
No Personal Data Collection: We do not knowingly collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) from children, such as names, addresses, or emails.
Parental Consent: Any external links (such as Privacy Policy or Terms) and In-App Purchases are protected by a Parental Gate to ensure they are accessed only by adults.
We use Google AdMob to serve ads in this app. The following strict settings are applied to protect child users:
Child-directed treatment: We use tagForChildDirectedTreatment(true) to indicate the app is directed to children under 13.
Under age of consent: We use tagForUnderAgeOfConsent(true) to ensure users under age 16 in applicable regions are treated appropriately.
Ad content rating: Our AdMob settings restrict all ads to General Audiences (G) only. This means only ads suitable for families and children are shown. Ads rated PG, T, and MA are blocked.
No personalised ads: Behavioral or interest-based ad targeting is disabled entirely.
Ad review: All ad creatives are reviewed to ensure they meet family-friendly guidelines.
We use the following third-party providers who may collect data according to their own policies:
Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. We ensure that AdMob is configured to show Non-Personalized Ads and is flagged as Child-Directed.
Firebase Analytics: Used to understand app performance and crashes.
RevenueCat / Apple IAP: Used to manage premium subscriptions and restore purchases.
5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Our app offers auto-renewable subscriptions.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID/Google Play account.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled 24 hours before the end of the period.
Users can manage or cancel subscriptions in their Account Settings.
We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children’s use of the app. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child by mistake, please contact us immediately.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we process. Since we do not collect personal information, there is no risk of personal identity theft through the app.
