(Just one more photo of my boys because I love them)
When starting this class in January I just wanted to get through this class and to just get it over with, and to be honest I still kind of do. However I feel like I've gotten more out of this class than I was going to, by a significant amount actually. We've done a lot of interesting discussion posts and have read things that more so relate to current events, which I never thought we would do! That has changed my view point on certain topics and formulated new opinions of topics I didn't even know were out there! Academics wise I have learned a lot of different things about writing as a whole. Now I still think writing isn't really for me, but taking this class I have learned the significance of peer reviews and how different people can give you different ideas on what you've been working on. Also I never knew how useful critical thinking or citing can be especially when writing, a works cited page makes it so you can write something without "plagiarizing it". this is helpful because there is more than one way to plagiarize something, and before this class I never knew how easy or accidental it could be. This class has also taught me how to properly do research when working on a paper, as well as how/where to look. Another great thing is the proper usage of pathos ethos and logos. It has been so long since I've used them and this class helped me re-discover what they mean. I feel as if I have gotten better overall with my grammar usage, and when to use what words specifically. Out of all of the core classes you have to learn and go through I can definitely see how English is one of the most important ones, and I look forward to using what I have learned in this class in the future!
