Hello everybody, My name is Elizabeth Mahas and in the following podcast I will be exploring some of the effects that having addiction in films can cause. Addiction is being shown in films every day. You might not even realize it because we have become immune to it. My group chose how mental illness is portrayed in films as an overall topic. I will be focusing on addiction as my mental illness of choice. In my podcast, I will be discussing some of the positive and negative effects addiction in films can have on the audience. The information provided will briefly address the history behind how addition in films started. I will also be answering the question if addiction is portrayed realistically in films. Is very important to know how things we watch can influence our lives. In this podcast, there will be multiple perspectives discussed. It has been proven that the things that we choose to have in our life can have a big impact on us. Throughout my research I found many scholarly resources that talk about this topic.
