Project 2

Today I will be analyzing Jessica Luzzenhop's " Breonna Taylor: Why it's hard to charge police over shootings". For many years in U.S. history minorities and allies have protested against the unfair treatment of citizens by police officers. Many say that police tend to use more force on people of color. However, other citizens say police brutality is not an issue and that the topic has no correlation with race what so ever. Recently, there have been more and more police brutality cases that have been publicized for the media and everyone else to see. Certain cases like George Floyd and Breonna Taylor have sparked national uproar and lead to hundreds of protest. Protesters are not particularly angry that people of color are being killed, however when a person in charge uses their power to escape punishment, that is when the line is crossed. Why is it so hard for police to be charged with murder when they murder people?
