Graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia in 1992. He later read in the chambers of Mr Collin Goonting s/o O.S. Gooting of Messrs Collin Goonting & Co. Advocates & Solicitors and was called to the Bar on 21st January, 1995 and has 28 years working experience in the legal practice.

His areas of practice are banking, commercial, general and criminal litigation. While specializing in accident cases during his practice at Othman Hashim & Co and Murali B. Pillai & Associates, Engku Aminuddin had also successfully handled criminal cases like section 39B, 39A and section 12 of the Dangerous Drug Act, section 3 of the Kidnapping Act, robbery and theft cases, hurt and grievous hurt, extortion, possession of stolen goods, Section 42 Road & Transport Act 1987, Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code of Malaysia and others.

In his 28 years of practice, Engku Aminuddin had also successfully handled many conveyancing matters like Sale & Purchase Agreements of residential & commercial properties.
