Throughout Steven Universe, Rose Quartz or Pink Diamond undergoes many character changes that struck audiences as they were revealed. Although diction analysis didn't produce any data and observing fan engagement left much to be desired, analyzing how writers tagged their works as "fluff" or "angst" along with observing the amount of fan-fictions released was useful in determining whether positive plot twists or negative plot twists happened at certain times. Applying this method to other active fandoms could likely help detect major events throughout a work's lifespan. Capturing the fandom's reactions to these plot twists using data allows the emotions of the fandom to survive past the release dates of these episodes.
